vf Experiment|Candle fragrances

So we’ve been working with a few different fragrances over the last few weeks. It’s been a lot of fun. Getting the balance right in our candles is a bit of a science. Too little and it defeats the purpose but too much and it just pongs.

We’ve tried:

  1. Warm sugar vanilla
  2. Vanilla (yes there is a difference)
  3. Cinnamon
  4. Rose
  5. Cranberry
  6. Coffee
  7. Chocolate

To name a few…

It’s funny how some smells just totally lighten the mood or trigger a memory. For me the smell of warm sugar vanilla does it every time. It takes me back to my days growing up in Trinidad, when my Granny would make the best sponge cake ever. I can almost taste it now. Can you?

What’s your favourite candle fragrance?

  1. I make candles in teacups too but mostly just buy my scents off ebay. The one I actually love the most is called freshly cut grass which of course smells just like summer. 🙂
